Any way to get the Bonus Mission Pack?
Unfortunately, the Mission Pack promotion came up while my computer was being fixed, so I never saw the promotion till the last day. Then, when I asked support if I could still get it, they told me that it had already ended at noon that day. But apparently, the promotion actually lasted all day. This was kind of unfair I thought.
But anyway, complaining aside, do you think they'll ever open up another way to access the mission pack? |

i hope they dont. you had a few months to get it. its your own fault if you didnt. if your computer was "getting fixed" for that long you might want to find a new place to repair your PC.

The promotion was available for 3-4 months, id recommend a new pc repair shop also lol. But kidding aside, not that has been annouced but I'm sure they'll upset the people who took advantage eventually by releasing it in another form.
My guess is they will just say you have another 1 month period to spend 30 bucks in our store and you can get it lol... good way to make some more cash, now that people know the BMP wasn't worthless. |

I really hope they dont re-release it. Everybody had enough time. If they do release it into the store, I hope its the same price as a full campaign.
The phrase "You snooze, you lose" comes to mind. By the way, its 3:30 AM, and I have absolutely no idea what i'm saying. |

Well, I know I missed all promotion for it as I was out for the summer, so I had no chance of getting it. I kind of hope it gets re-released, but I know i'll never spend any money in the in-game store.

Rule number one: Make it easy for people to give you money.
It's all about improving the reputation and making money for Anet, not about "snoozing" or catching the early worms. It's about marketing. Now, Anet may not be willing to spend the resources to make the BMP available in other - every additional way to offer a product also takes resources. That's their decision, and I tend to believe Anet has a very good track record in these things. If they estimate effort>gain, they're in their right not to offer additional ways of getting the BMP. However, I would hope they do offer it in the online store. |

I dont think they will (You guys had almost 4 moths).
Rothaga you stated "but I know i'll never spend any money in the in-game store." That was the only way to get it. /facepalm |

This is all just what I got from it, but when the first mentions of the BMP came out, it seemed like it'd never be re-released. After that, it seemed a bit less strongly worded, as if it might.
I don't really see why people are all, "OMG YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE," when they're customized weapons. No one's making a killing off of selling weapons, since they're customized, so it's just having people go "cool skin" at the most and the ego boost from that. Less whining (not that Togedude is) on both sides FTW Edit: However, if it is re-released, it shouldn't be cheaper than $29 USD. |

Basic logic says it won't be $30. First, we have the fact that it was a truly free item when you spent $30 on something else. The only way it "absorbs" any implied value from this condition is if you were a reading comprehensionally challenged tool who reads "Spend $30 and get a BMP free" and then confuses the fine print that limits you to getting the free BMP on the account that makes the purchase as somehow conferring some sort of uber exclusivity AND then proceeds to spend $30 on stuff you don't actually want so you can grow your ePenis just a little bit more. Still, the only implied price is for the RCCT who has given the free BMP that value himself - Anet certainly never gave it any particular value in spite of the vociferous forum whining. Second, you have the current promotion involving spending $40 for 50% off of a single campaign. Admittedly, they boofed the store programming and if you go back a separate time you can actually get two campaigns at 50% off, but in this case the wording and the behavior of the store if you should try to purchase two campaigns at once makes clear the intent: spend $40 and save a maximum of $25. Even if you assume a 1:1 correlation of the intended value of the current promotion with the summer BMP one, you still only arrive at a price of $18.75 for the BMP (and if you go with the average value of the discount, ta-da, $15). Didnt most people just buy GWEN, and thats how they got their $30 spent in the store, so really, they were gonna buy GWEN eventually, so they got the BMP for free.

i hope later they sell the bmp pack all alone without having to spend 30 bucks on something you dont want.
that will be cool if we can just spend 10-15 bucks on the bmp alone. |

No info about it at this current time.
No need to discuss whether they should or shouldn't. ====closed====
